After My Dog Died Last Year I Swore I Wouldn’t Ever Get A Pet Again, Until I Started Taking These Images
My dog Mustang was my son. Last year he suddenly passed away. My husband wanted us to get another pet so that our daughter doesn't feel the loneliness we were all feeling in our hearts. But I couldn't bring myself to loving another pet like I loved Mustang. We were obsessed with him. He was our life and suddenly with him gone, I felt like no one could understand the pain and loss I felt as a mother.
When Mustang was alive, often my clients would come home with their newborn babies and request that I could take one shot of their baby with him. He was such an adorable dog, everyone loved him.
So when he went away, I started to photograph babies with other furry creatures... it was my way to deal with my loss... or tell myself that in some form, he is still around.
Taking these images have helped me heal and we are soon going to bring home two wonderful puppies and one of them... we will name Mustang.

That is Mustang in the picture. One of my clients came home once and requested that I photograph their baby with Mustang cos she fell in love with Mustang when she met him.
This remains extremely cute until mama duck returns to feed all four ducklings.
That lace and the BEAUTIFUL baby with cutie puppies capture my heart! 💖
SO BEAUTIFUL! Gotta show a young couple expecting their first child!! 💏
That is another image of a client's baby with Mustang.
If you are so bothered with it Judith, then just don't look at these pictures!!! You can either be the one that looks past the shadows and sees the cuteness, or you can see the negative side of things and keep it to yourself. There is no need to keep saying these things when we have all seen them and are just trying to enjoy the cuteness!
Actually, it is not such a big health risk. I had two cats before I had my daughter. I let them touch her when she was just a few days old. My doctor said that had actually boosted her immune system. By the time she went to school, she got the usual childhood illnesses, but so very much lighter than her friends, who had not grown up with animals. Don't listen to "friends" opinion, ask your doctor.
Presence of furry anuimals boosts allergy immunity. I know from experience ;)
Load More Replies...the floof is off the scale for these. in fact, they may need a new scale.
I know how you feel about the loss of Mustang. My wife and I had a similar tragedy and I cried (literally) for months. But your new dog deserves to be him/herself. Don't burden him/her with Mustang's legacy. Give him/her his/her own name. We did and we are glad we made that choice.
